Asphalt Preservation: Does it really make a difference?
A Road Comparison:
Two roads were paved in 2017. The first Road was sealed with GSB-88® within a month or so of it being paved. The second Road was paved, then left unsealed. Both Roads were routinely checked for decay. 2 years later, the difference is impressive! The first Road sealed with GSB-88® still looks Great, while the second Road, left unsealed, is showing clear signs of decay—the top coat is wearing away exposing loose aggregates. What's a 1970’s oil filter slogan have to do with pavement maintenance?
Many of the National Park Service’s deferred maintenance issues could have been avoided with proper preventative attention. "‘You can pay me now or pay me later,‘ says a 1970s oil-filter commercial, which advised spending on preventative auto care to avoid costly repairs later. The slogan is a good analogy for how the deferred maintenance backlog at America’s national parks has climbed to nearly $12 billion.
The mission of the National Park Service is to preserve and protec

Gee is 300+ miles away, and I would highly recommend them.
"We greatly look forward to continuing work with Gee Asphalt Inc. and would highly recommend them to any county interested in using their product." This past summer the Berrien County Road Department contracted Gee Asphalt Inc. to treat approximately six miles of roadway with GSB-88®. The BCRD had been searching for a product like this for several years to use as an alternative to our standard sealcoat process. After this trial run with Gee Asphalt, we have determined GSB-88®

How does Gee and GSB-88® help with funding shortages?
"Due to funding shortfalls, local agencies are directing more funding in preventive maintenance on HMA pavements in order to extend the life of the pavement." – Todd Kinney, Clinton County Engineer, Past President, Iowa County Engineers Association (ICEA) How does Gee and GSB-88® help Jones County with funding shortages? “Typically in the past, there wasn’t such as emphasis on shortage of funding, so it was a practice of use the existing pavement until it's completely deterio

“Complements to your Lincoln, NE crew!"
"…Following the A St. incident, James at Lincoln Roads put me in touch with Myles and, after some uncertainty about available time, we were able to connect. Myles and his two guys, Will and Clifford, were cordial and went out of their way to get my vehicle cleaned up. Sparkles plenty now! My thanks to them and you for doing things the way we wish others would. Great example of how

Tech encourages pro-active pavement maintenance.
(excerpted from “How Pittsburgh is test driving tech to make your commute smarter.” Sept 6, 2017, Jeffrey Brown reporting) Another problem for drivers and the city, potholes and decaying streets. And there’s a project under way here to deal with that. Pittsburgh has more than 800 miles of roads and, like most cities, a limited budget to maintain them. Professor Christoph Mertz has devised software that could help the city better determine where to send repair crews.
